India Raids Top Sellers on Amazon Over Competition Law Violations ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

Investigators in India have raided top sellers on Amazon and Walmart owned FlipKart over violations of Indian competition law. The Competition Commission of India is reportedly questioning executives of the third party seller companies, gathering emails, and seizing data and documents.

The raids follow a Reuters investigation last year which was based on Amazon internal documents and showed the company gave preferential treatment for years to a small group of sellers on its platform, including Cloudtail, and used them to bypass Indian laws. (reut.rs/3rTWXxi)
