Popular live streamer Ninja, recently spoke about the notorious closure of Microsoft’s streaming platform Mixer. Mixer signed multiple big name streamers away from the dominant platform, Amazon owned Twitch TV, but then shuttered the platform in what many felt was a premature move. Alex listens to Ninja’s comments on a recent episode of the The CouRage and Nadeshot podcast and offers his own insights on why Mixer failed to meaningfully challenge Twitch. He goes on to highlight how large companies like Microsoft often fail to innovate and experiment quick enough when trying to gain market share in a new area.
